We went in for our first prenatal visit today. It went well. I wasn't expecting to see much on the ultra sound, knowing I'm still pretty early in my pregnancy. But you can actually make out a baby! it's head is huge! hahaha! The doctor says that round thing above the head is like the yellow part of an egg.
Hmm, so am I having a human or a chicken?
The doctor caught us by surprise when he played the heart beat for us. I was so unprepared for that beautiful moment, that a flood of emotion swept over me and I got all choked up and teary eyed. My amazement kept me from actually crying, but it was such an incredible thing. It makes it so real, if that makes sense?
Doc says by the size of the lil peanut (it kind of looks like a peanut yeah?) I'm about 8 weeks along, give or take.
Oh, he gave me Zofran for my nausea and it's ah-ma-za-zing! I took one pill. and about an hour later I was able to eat the biggest meal I've eaten since like the end of October! I love it!
oh, and he gave me to go-ahead on working out. No restrictions, I've just got to stay super hydrated. So I'm happy about that.
Well, I must say, this little ultrasound experience is such a great Christmas gift!
